Managing mysql packages on cPanel server if mysql-governor installed

If you have mysql-governor installed, all mysql upgrades and version changes should be changed using mysql-governor tools, e.g.

On cPanel servers, when ‘ –install’  is executed we create a file /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/cloudlinux.versions

The file is needed to disable management of mysql related packages provided by cPanel and allow mysql-governor to manage them.


Note: When you have own definition for MySQL* in local.versions or cloudlinux.version file do not exists you have to run following commands to ensure cPanel is no longer managing MySQL:
